The short answer: at Precision Marble & Granite, grout-free shower and tub surrounds run about $21 per square foot for Cultured Marble, $35 for TruStone, and $42 for Precision Marble. That price includes materials and installation for our 3/8 inch materials. A typical tub surround lands somewhere between about $1,150 and $2,300. Granite, quartz and natural stone countertops are quoted per project after we come out and measure, which is free.

We’ve been building kitchens and baths in Prescott since 1985, and pricing is the question we hear most. Here’s how it breaks down.

Bathroom Remodeling Costs

In most bathroom remodels we do, the surfaces drive the budget: shower walls, tub surrounds, shower pans and vanity tops. These are our current installed rates:

MaterialInstalled price per sq ftWhat it’s good for
Cultured Marble$21Grout-free surrounds and vanity tops on a budget
TruStone$35The look of real stone with cultured marble’s easy upkeep
Precision Marble$42Our premium line

To figure your square footage, multiply length by width in inches, then divide by 144. Add 10% on top to cover seams, edge cuts, corners and cutouts. This is the same math our online calculator uses.

Here’s an example. Say you have a standard 60 inch tub with 30 inch end walls, and you want the surround to go 60 inches up the wall.

That puts the tub surround at roughly $1,155 in Cultured Marble, $1,925 in TruStone, or $2,310 in Precision Marble.

You can plug in your own measurements on our Pricing Guide. Keep in mind it’s a starting point. We carry more than 160 colors, and no two projects are the same, so your exact price comes from a free in-home consultation.

Why So Many Prescott Homeowners Are Going Grout Free

Tile showers look great at first. The trouble is the grout. It soaks up water, stains, and gives mold a place to grow, so you end up scrubbing and resealing for as long as you own the house.

Our Cultured Marble and TruStone surfaces don’t have grout lines at all. They’re impervious to water, mold and bacteria, and they clean up easily. We make them locally, cut to the size you need, so you’re not paying for material that ends up in a dumpster.

Speed is a big part of it, too. Because the product is made right here, we can turn around custom materials in 7 to 10 business days. Most installs take less than 24 hours, so you aren’t living without a shower for weeks.

Cultured Marble, TruStone and Natural Marble Aren’t the Same Thing

When people search for a “marble countertop install,” they could mean any of three different products:

Cultured marble is cast from marble dust and resin. It’s non-porous, has no seams to grout, and costs the least of the three.

TruStone is made with a process called Photofuzion, which combines images of real stone with the benefits of cultured marble. You get something that looks like natural stone but cleans like cultured marble. We’re an exclusive TruStone dealer, and we sell it at factory-direct pricing.

Natural marble is quarried stone. It’s beautiful, but it’s porous and needs to be sealed from time to time. Because every slab is different, we quote it by the project.

For showers and tub surrounds, most of our customers pick cultured marble or TruStone because there’s so little upkeep.

Granite Countertop Install in Prescott

For kitchens, granite and quartz are still what most people ask for. We work with suppliers here in town and down in the Phoenix area, including Arizona Tile, MSI Surfaces, Silestone and Cambria, so there’s a wide range to choose from whether your style is classic, rustic or modern.

Getting started is easy. Stop by the showroom to look at options, or call and we’ll come out for a free field measure. Our own crews handle demo and installation, so you’re dealing with one company from start to finish.

Granite pricing depends on the slab you choose, how many square feet you need, the edge profile, sink and cooktop cutouts, and whether old countertops have to come out. That’s why we quote stone after we measure. Request your free quote here.
